Paramedics! Ready, Steady, GO!

On Saturday, May 19.F. Zaczek Hospital in Puck organized the First Open Championship in Emergency Medical Services, "ZATOKA 2012". The idea behind this contest is to spread knowledge about the medical emergency and exchange of experiences between groups of paramedic. 

Simulations of various events increase the skills of paramedics, helping them to more effectively respond to life-threatening situation. "ZATOKA 2012" championship was attended by 11 two-person teams of paramedic from the Pomeranian Province and it was organized by medical team from Puck hospital.

Rescuers had to deal with such tasks as accidents on the beach, in port and on the road. Competitors had to get to the accident site according to prepared GPS coordinates and perform on-site rescue procedures adequately to the nature of the task. Besides, teams competed in the tasks of fitness activities.
The competition was won by Emergency Station team from Pruszcz Gdansk. Second place was won by the team from hospital in Kartuzy, and a third place was accounted for Emergency Station team from Nakło-Szubin.
Radmor rewarded  the winning team with the means of communication such as radiotelephones which rescuers need for effective communication.
