The BCT, Baltic Container Terminal in Gdynia, completed an implementation process and has launched a new terminal communication system, based on the TetraFlex system, delivered by Radmor. This TetraFlex system is manufactured by Damm Cellular Systems A/S.

The new solution implemented by RADMOR replaced the previously used communication technology, based on analogue radio system.

RADMOR offered the BCT a complete and technologically advanced TETRA system. The system consists of a controller and base stations. The indispensable and obvious supplements from the direct users’ points of view are handheld and mobile radiotelephones. RADMOR provided to the BCT the EADS terminals, which are very easy and intuitive to use. Therefore not only an ordinary conversation, but also a data transmission is possible. For customers such as the BCT it is also important, that the radios installed in extreme conditions, for example: on the overhead cranes, fulfill their tasks. The dust, water or dropping to the ground can not damage them. The provided radios meet all these requirements. We are pleased that we could offer  the company from Gdynia the system, which fulfilled all expectations. Because of a proximity of our companies the cooperation and further expansion of this system are easy. “Time after time our ambitions are getting bigger, so we hope that, we will satisfy all subsequent needs of the BCT, when it comes to digital communication”- said Zbigniew Furman, the RADMOR Sales and Marketing Director.

“The implementation of the newest radio communication’s standard in our terminals brings us a number of uncontested benefits. First of all, we exploit the advantages associated with a progressive digitalization of communications systems. We use the system checked by the army and public services, which always require the highest level of safety and reliability of the connections. Additionally, its flexible architecture allows for many adaptations to changing needs found at the container terminal. We are pleased to be working with RADMOR. Not only in the terms of already delivered technology, but also because of the access to the after-sales care and the response time to any problems. In the end, the abodes of both our companies are less than a kilometer apart.”- says Wojciech Szymulewicz, the IT Manager of the Baltic Container Terminal.

The TetraFlex system implementation is a great example of successful cooperation between two Polish companies in the province of Pomerania. In a response to the demands made by BCT, RADMOR was able to prepare the competitive and very attractive hardware, implementation and service offers, based on the latest digital communication technology available on the market.

The ceremonial commissioning of the system was held on 5th November this year.
